    FAQ

    1) Why is the speedometer asking for location permission?

The tool uses your device GPS through the browser Geolocation API to calculate and display live speed and distance.

    2) Does this tool work without HTTPS?

On most devices, Geolocation requires HTTPS. It can also work on localhost during local testing.

    3) What is the difference between Sample Avg and Stable Avg?

Sample Avg is the average of captured speed samples. Stable Avg is distance divided by elapsed time, which better reflects whole-session movement.

    4) Can I switch between km/h and mph?

Yes. Enable the units toggle to show speed values in mph, or keep it off for km/h.

    5) How can I share my ride results?

Use the Share Ride button. Supported browsers open the native share dialog; otherwise the ride summary is copied to your clipboard.
